WORKS OFFLINE & SERVER FILES ARE AVAILABLE without paying a whole lot extra for DLC.ĥ. Unlike many games from *cough cough* EA and Activision, you can mess around with mods, add your own new content, and have fun. Is the game getting bland? Well this gives you the chance to play around with the game and customize it a bit. Linux is a free alternative to Windows/MacOS that gives you more complete control over your hardware and doesn't collect so much telemetry on you either. It doesn't rely on hacks to work, it just runs. This game runs natively on Linux without the need to tweak or mess around with WINE or Proton. *looking at you R6S, For Honor, EFT, ect. There's no pay to win "Starter Edition"/"Ultimate Edition"/ect. You can't buy better guns, faster "progression", boosters, ect. Pay to win simply does not exist in this game in any form. Nobody has the advantage over anyone other than their own skill and experience. It does not matter how much you pay or grind, any player will have the exact same access to the gear as you do whether your a newbie or a veteran. There's no rigged matchmaking or predatory progression systems that force you to grind for several hours just to unlock a new rifle, scope, ect. This game doesn't have greedy microtransactions, DLC, gambling boxes, or anything of that sort.

I can download this easily onto a new PC in the morning on a slow as ♥♥♥♥ rural ISP with only 3 Mbps, and be playing that same evening. this is a pleasant experience even if you have ♥♥♥♥ internet. Oh, and this game doesn't consume all your hard drive space either! It's well under 20GB, with so many games taking near 200GB. I do also have a gaming laptop and it runs this game maxed out great!

You have to consider though that this is on a 2008 MacBook though (Core 2 Duo P8600, GeForce 9400M, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD), so it's over a decade old by now and running Linux with the open source Nouveau driver which doesn't exactly give the best performance. My MacBook runs this kinda decently! It gets around 20-40 FPS with dips into the teens at the lowest settings in game. This game runs well, even on old/lower end hardware. Yes, even at regular price it's very well worth it.
